Black Men Smile is proud to announce our partnership with Zucot Gallery for “The Gift” exhibition celebrating 50 years of hip hop. Black Men Smile produced and designed the exclusive apparel to accompany the exhibit and debuted the line at the exhibit opening in Atlanta Georgia.

Hip Hop’s roots in Blackness and rebellion speak through the music, migration, fashion, and art.  From fighting to be heard to now being the voice of generations, we must honor the influence and appreciate all that has come from this artform .

This Zucot Gallery exhibition will delve into the global impact of hip hop and its influence on society. With a keen focus on how African American culture has permeated every corner of the globe, we examine both the positive and negative aspects of hip hop’s journey over the past five decades.

Featuring original works by Horace Imhotep, Alfred Conteh, Michi Meko, Petie Parker, Charlotte Riley-Webb, Maurice Evans, Nathan Addley, Michael Reese, collaborative works by Charly Palmer with D.L. Warfield and Charly Palmer with Paper Frank
