From our Home to the House of BET: BMS Makes History at 2023 BET Awards

Black Men Smile was just one of four Black-owned brands from across the country highlighted in the iSpendBlack Market place inside the House of BET as part the 2023 BET Awards hosted in Los Angeles. The iSpendBlack marketplace was also a way to celebrate Black excellence and support Black economic development while providing a great opportunity for a highly curated group of Black entrepreneurs from across the country to be showcased.

The House of BET was an entire 3 days of activations celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop included performances and appearances by some of the biggest names including Snoop Dogg, Arri Fletcher, Bow Wow, Marquis Houston just to name a few.

Other activations included:

Rap City Studio Booth - an immersive recording booth where guests spit freestyles off the dome

  • Hip-Hop 50 Portrait Gallery - a photo exhibit featuring life-sized images of our favorite hip-hop legends

  • Trap Music Museum - a pop-up installation of Atlanta's iconic Trap Music Museum

  • Rap City Studio Booth - an immersive recording booth where guests spit freestyles off the dome

But we weren’t just invited to be present. Black Men Smile was commissioned to created a custom hoodie and tee designed especially for this unforgettable event.
